Dr. Cai, Chief Scientist of Xiashu Technology, gave a keynote speech on "Automatic Gender Identification of Poultry and Intelligent Detection System for Livestock Farms Based on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence", introducing the combination of artificial intelligence technology and poultry farming industry, as well as how to use artificial intelligence technology to empower the poultry industry. Dr. Cai focused on the research and development progress of chicken gender identification equipment, intelligent cameras in breeding farms, and point and specification determination systems in slaughterhouses, and introduced the gender recognition technology of breeding eggs that the audience is concerned about.

　　The intelligent monitoring cameras in the breeding farm use computer vision technology to count the number of chickens in the farm, and identify and warn of abnormal behaviors in the farm, such as long-term immobility of chickens, excessive dispersion or aggregation of chicken flocks, fires, etc. The slaughterhouse monitoring system uses multiple cameras and a 3D vision module to detect surface defects in poultry after depilation, distinguish between second and third grade products, and cooperate with machinery to achieve automatic decoupling. In addition, the intelligent camera can automatically count the feathers of chickens and ducks, as well as the boxes during transportation, and input them into the system. The image weight estimation equipment mainly uses visual detection algorithms, supplemented by weighing scales, to achieve high-precision measurement of the weight of all day old poultry and future trend prediction. At the same time, it automatically determines the gender of poultry and returns individual weight distribution maps in real time. The accuracy of weight measurement shall not be less than 98.5%, and the accuracy of weight prediction the next day shall not be less than 90%.
